Well after 3 months sitting in the garage due to a cracked head, I was finally able to start the dang thing about 10 min ago. Just let it run for a few seconds.
I will get it out of the grage tomorrow and let it warm up and burn off the new paint and everything.
It took me so long for several reasons - find a head for the right price! The first one was a differnt model and I did not want to fool with making the coil pack/rail (?) mount to it. I knwo folks have done it, but I didn't. Then have it machined.
I had to order a few gaskets and few othe do-dads.
The absolute hardest thing was to find time to work on it.
So my hope is the get it all back together this weekend, including the front driveshaft and drive it aroudn for a little bit.
If everything is OK, then put some miles on it this next week and then go offroading in a week or two.
I only have a few other things to do - alignment, doubel check a few bolts, adjust the front pinion angle, replace vent tube on front diff, balance and install front driveshaft.
For those who helped me I truly appreciate it!
A gigantic THANK YOU to MJR!!!
