Yes he is a one man shop. Try e-mailing him as well. He is great and attentive. He will get the answer before he calls you back. He is a member of our club and very fair. Are you the one from NCKRAWLERS? If you like PM me and I will run up there.

If you do ever get a hold of him, good luck if he actually ships anything to you. He billed me for an item, never shipped it, then refused to refund me when I wanted to cancel the order. He also gave me some story about he's a huge company.
Bigwill, DC is not worth your time nor aggravation. There are plenty of shops that care about the customer, let alone answer the phone.

Sorry you had a problem. As with anything I am sure there are 2 sides to the story. I have not heard of this at all. He is also a member of our club in good standing. He does a ton of volume with a newly opened shop. He always calls back in a timely fashion.

your best bet is to leave a message. DC is very good at getting back to you
Heavy Metal, when you say message, do you mean voice mail? I may have got him on a bad day, but when I asked if he received any of my voice mails he said "Those were probably ignored".

Matt,
Don't be sorry, you did nothing wrong nor should you have to cover for someone else's mistakes. He may be a good guy, but he displayed very little professionalism when I dealt with him. I was willing to cut him some slack because he was a small shop, and I even told him I prefer dealing with small shops due to the personal attention. He snapped at me when I said this, saying he was "almost as big as Quadratec". Secondly, you don't refuse a refund if you never ship out a part and then say to the customer, oh I never shipped anything.

Never had a problem with DC. Called me back on a sunday when he was fairly sure the address he had written down was incorrect. Because of that the package made it out on a monday instead of a tuesday. I wouldn't have cared either way. But I can think of more then a few people that would have been aggrivated that he wrote down the address wrong in the first place. He'll get my business again...............

DC is a GREAT guy, a friend, and a person that i trust very much.
He is also a normal human being that has a Family of his own.
I talked with him last week and made an order as well. He stays very busy and does everything he can to help people out.
Also understand that he may have needed a day off or he is just bogged down with orders or installs.
I am not making excuses, BUT I AM STICKING UP FOR HIM. I will not allow anyone to slander his good name.
Lastly, many smaller companies that you call have a small inventory. If its on their shelves, it goes right out. Many small companies have the product drop shipped to the customer. Many times a supplier like RE or JKS are also on a slight time delay as well, so bear with it.
DC is actully the largest supplier on the east coast of certain things like RE, JKS, etc. He supplies a lot of the other guy's shops, so be careful who you bark at. Sometimes when messing with one, you mess with us all.
Hadfield4wd is right on the mark.

I ordered an RK longarm kit a couple of weeks ago. I constantly had trouble communicating with him and when I did actually talk to somebody on the phone, they hadn't heard of the emails or messages and I had to tell the whole story every time. I think he said they have 3 or 4 guys who answer emails. Anyway, turns out he forgot to actually make the order with RK when I placed my order until a week after I placed it. By then, the kit was backordered with RK for two weeks. I am still waiting for my longarm :( . Seeing as I am not really on a tight time frame, I think it is still worth the hassle because I got a rediculously good deal on the kit.

Yes, good name. I am sure that if we looked into your life you have done some things that you are not proud of? We all make mistakes or have friends or people who are not happy with us every once in a while.
DC is a GREAT guy and would bend over backwards for you and we do not know both sides of the story. Its much easier to bitch and moan. I wish some people would post when they have had great service from vendors.

DC is a GREAT guy, a friend, and a person that i trust very much.
I'm not arguing that fact.
He is also a normal human being that has a Family of his own.
That's nice, but has nothing to do with how he runs his business
I talked with him last week and made an order as well. He stays very busy and does everything he can to help people out.
Also understand that he may have needed a day off or he is just bogged down with orders or installs.
I'm glad he answered the phone when you called, or returned your call. Fact is you don't tell a customer that you ignored their messages. If you are busy, you are busy, that is understandable.
I am not making excuses, BUT I AM STICKING UP FOR HIM. I will not allow anyone to slander his good name.
You are making excuses, and I am not slandering him. He billed me for an item he had in stock and said would ship the day I ordered it. He never shipped the item nor called me to indicate such. When I asked for a refund, he denied the refund.
Lastly, many smaller companies that you call have a small inventory. If its on their shelves, it goes right out. Many small companies have the product drop shipped to the customer. Many times a supplier like RE or JKS are also on a slight time delay as well, so bear with it.
They weren't going to be drop shipped, he said they were in stock.
DC is actully the largest supplier on the east coast of certain things like RE, JKS, etc. He supplies a lot of the other guy's shops...
I believe his exact quote was, "I'm looking at 14 sets of those".
...so be careful who you bark at.
I'm pretty sure DC did the barking and me when he fired back that he is a big shop.
Sometimes when messing with one, you mess with us all.
You are missing the mark on this one, I'm not "messing" with anyone. What I am doing is informing anyone who reads this about my experince with DC4WD.

Ken Carter... wow... thought you were dead or something. Yea.. I would love to hear your details. Your own so called friends think you are a real piece of work. Shall I start listing the lies and deception you tell?? Lets start off w/ my web site fiasco. How about the stealing of parts and getting busted doing so... remember that?? Remember me having to call you out on the parts you tried to steal then I had to chase you down to collect payment?? How about you trying to get me to pay your $425.00 hosting fee for your web site?? Remeber that??... and I have a lot more. You are a dishonest person. If you have something to say, jump out from behind that keyboard and call me.

Yea... you are right. I had several local club members point me to this thread and somethimes I just can't sit and watch people lie. I even read one guy spouting off about how I told him my company was as big as Q-Tech... it's just amazing what people say behind a keyboard. So yea... sometimes I just have to defend a little. I've got a $1200.00 per week payroll I have to meet not including myself and it's hard to read lies and not say anything when it can affect me making that payroll.

OK DC..
if you want to start PLEASE DO SO. PLEASE list them all. I would love to hear what so called freinds think of me either here or by PM..
and WHAT parts are you talking about me stealing I have never stole any parts.. PERIOD
NOw to the Web site story
Lets see I told you I would give you FREE web space in exchange for some parts when I needed some and my understanding was you were in agreement with this..
So you ended up with a 400MB website that you did not pay for and I did not need parts at that time so I never asked for any.. well if came about that after i built my Jeep I realized I did not need any of the bolt on parts you sold so I requested a payment for all the web service you would be getting in the upcoming year.. a total of $120 per year.. which is $10 per month. Remeber I did not back charge you for the other 2 years which I never got parts for... I was billing for the upcoming years..
AND NO I am not scared to talk to you in person or by PHONE hope you actually pick up tonight when I call.

Don't even think that is "spouting off" DC. If I had a recording of our conversation, I'd upload it somewhere in a heartbeat. There is no way I would make any of this up.
Let me refresh your memory a bit, we had a conversation on Thursday, March 9th of this year at about 4:30 EST about a set of axle shafts. Now re-read my replys.
