Need A/C work. Mechanic suggestions (Salem,OR)??

A/C on the Jeep has been great for the 10+ years I've had it. Never a problem, but the 99 Jetta TDI needs a/c work. Anyone know of a good shop in Salem, or Portland, possibly Eugene... Don't want to take it to any joe, and want to have a second opinion before dumping $1,000+ into it.

Not sure where abouts in town your at, but you might want to give Wally @ Tech Tune (503-393-4044) in Keizer a call. I've known the guy for a few years and although I have no idea what his rates are like, I can vouch for the fact that he is honest.
