would it be possible to use a newer style remote on a 96 i have one from a 2000 and would like to know if i could use it on my 96 if so how would i set it up

I believe a 2000 is a Radio signal, whereas the 1996 is infared like a tv remote.

I think if you wanted it to work you would need the doo dad that accepts the signal. On my 97 it is a plastic bump between the visors.

it has a little plastic bump like little black camera it freaks me out some times
