Quick u-joint question.

I am wondering what axle u-joints i have on my Jeep. Its a 97 HP D30 non-abs. I hear the bigger u-joints are the more desirable ones. Just trying to figure out which ones i have:D
 
I thought the 297 ujoints only came on the ones with abs.

95 and older,I believe. All the 96's I have seen have had 297's regardless. JIM.
 
Dana 30 axles with the NP231, 1987 through 1991 are vacuum disconnect
NP242 Selec-Trac will not have the disconnect
All 1992+ are non-disconnect
All 84-88 D30s have 5-260x u-joints (1 1/16" diameter caps)
1989-95 non-ABS have 5-260x u-joints
1989-95 with ABS have 5-297x u-joints (1 3/16" diameter caps)
All 1995 1/2+ have 5-297x u-joints
5-297x u-joints can be replaced with the stronger 5-760x u-joint

they are a direct replacement i presume? got a part number for those 5-760x u- joints Yucca-man?

Hmm. I don't think I do - I'll head out to the garage in a bit and see if I have any boxes left.

cool. saw that 4 wheel parts has the alloy usa u-joints that replace the 297x and 760x. I will probably get those when its time to replace mine
