How to clean up Rear Fender Trim?

I used a angle grinder with cutoff wheel and a BFH. It pounded them little flaps down real good like. Maybe someday I'll see about welding some sheet in there to smooth it out.

I did the same thing. Try to make all your relief cuts the same length so when you hammer the metal back, it forms a smooth line. Mine looked pretty good once I finished beating the crap out of the flaps with a mini-sledge. Since you still have the small 'flare' left in the quarter panel, I taped it off and painted the 'flare' edge and inside the fenderwell with duplicolor bedliner spray. Looks great.
