All XJ 8.25s have 9" drums, as far as I know.

I was wondering the same thing. I called Autozone to get some new brake shoes and had no clue when they asked me what size I needed.
Also have a 99 XJ with a 8.25 rear.

Anyone ever hear of a tape measure?
Nine is standard but some upgrade packages have 10.

It's drum brakes. I haven't been pressed enough to change them to even care to take of one of the rear wheels this weekend :P

my 93 8.25 was 9", the guy at the parts store also couldn't fint any specs anywhere to turn them so I just bought new ones yesterday. The good news is that they are about 20 bucks cheaper than the 10"
