my unit bearing/axle bearing went out today. after a long day loosening the bolts it all fell out had marble size bb's rolling down the drive way. i need links to blown up images or even better a real image of one is supposed to look like

The unit bearing/hubs from 1990 to 2001 aren't really designed to be serviced. You just buy and install a new one.
