Fuse block replacement??? How hard?

Hello all,
I was looking into replacing the fuse block on my 89 Cherokee.
I am thinking about it because I have a few plugs that are hosed and do not likr to hold fuses, one being the trans fuse.

So anyways I pulled the screws off and looked at the back and holy smokes, I had hoped for a nice big plug to seperate and plug in a new block. Well it does not look that easy. lol

Has anyone done this and if so how painful was it?

I found it to be a major PIA on my 86 that I had. Don't have any huge pointers other than make sure you get it disconnected and unbolted from the firewall under the hood before you pull on the fuse panel too much.
