For the skid only, you could go grade 5, but me personally, I would go with grade 8. Just for the overkill factor....

Actually you shoudl be going grade 12 metric if you're using the factory nut strips to hold on your skid plate

Hallo. Metric bolts class 8.8 = Grade 5 and Metric class 10.9 = Grade 8. next Metric class 12.9 = Grade ? :wave1:

There is actually one or two more grades beyond grade 8. My instructor from a great many years ago called them "NASA" grade.
They are kinda hard to find depending on where you live.....
