So I found this MJ, and I've been looking for one to use as a DD, and the guy says, "Look it over and shoot me an offer." Lower coolant hose needs replacement. Rockers and corners are solid, rust is just surface rust. 4.0 HO AW4 231 d30/35 LWB ~80,000mi.

i see a Narly Oil leak
Has that Rear Diff EVER been serviced?
the rust underneath looks pretty extensive.
Needs an exhaust...
Needs ATLEAST shocks.. if not more suspension parts..
80k miles? most rigs with 225k miles look cleaner underneath..
If you really want it, IMO its not worth more then a grand..

It appears to be in pretty good shape for a WI MJ.
Location? - LOL! Just kidding!
If it runs and drives good, it's probably worth $800 at best. Kbb shows a "Fair condition" MJ for $1K, but that machine is not quite up to "fair" condition.
The rust on the rear wheel openings is though.
Check the condition of the "frame", especially by the cab front.

It does look crusty but its going to get a good freshing before winter. Yes I thought it was pretty good for a WI MJ, its in Green Bay (no more details tho, lol) That oil 'leak' is coolant, and the need to replace the lower hose.

a classic case of keeping it clean up top, but not rinsing the salt off the underside
i agree with the above posts, 7-800 tops

Agreed. Any time you try and fix anything on it your gonna have a fight with those bolts (can you say shackle problems?). The rust around wheel wells is going to be way more extensive than you think, be carefull.
