runner, came out of Opie's '88. Has bottom end knock. He'll be at the next meet and greet.

I may need the block, has it been rebuilt once already? I need a block that can be bored .040 over.

He never called, but said he'd be at the meet and greet.

5-90 what kind of parts do you need? I've got a non HO head and valve cover you can have.

The meet and greet is here in Sacto. There'll be a post for it the first part of next week.

I just need top end stuff to play with - I want to get back into practise porting heads (I can do it, but I need to be able to do it more quickly than I could now...)

Don't think I need the engine, the one in the hoopty rig was nearly virgin.......still has cross hatching on the cylinders, and they are within .001 of factory "new" spec. :cool:

The cylinder head may be another matter, though. Both are headed to the machine shop on Friday for stroker machining. :)

If I need a cylinder head ( i fear crackage), I'll talk to Opie.

If no-one's taking the block, I could use that as well. I'd still have to arrange a pickup time (cf. Meet/greet thread...)

After 19SEP, my shcedule should open up - and a Friday trip to Sac City would be more in the cards...
