will a 1988 I6 jeep cherokee engine directly swap into a 1997 jeep cherokee sport with an I6? i will be willing to take it down to the long block to swap it. any knowledge would be amazing.:eeks1:

Long block will swap over. I put an 88 block in my 95, but I used the 95 head, injection system and flexplate. The Renix block is supposed to be stronger.
