What do you guys do to keep from sucking water up the exhaust when you cross streams or deep puddles?

lift it higher and don't stall

water will not enter the motor unless you shut it off. if you stall or shut it off do NOT try to restart it unless A) the water level is below the ports on the exhaust manifold or B) you remove the spark plugs and crank the engine over a few times to make sure the water is out.

so as long as the water level is below the ports if the motor is off.....good to know.
