I have a 98 xj with a high pinion D30, stock at the moment.

planning for 35's and this has come up for sale from a TJ

ITEM: Front D30 Super 30 setup, Alloy USA axles, 4:56 ratio, ARB locker, Warn lock out hubs, new wheel bearings and uni's, custom heavy duty high steer arm and tie rod, and new 80 series tie rod ends, spare long side axle and warn hub.

Would this just bolt right up? and is it worth it. Price is not that bad and I wouldnt have to do the work in building it, just fit it.

I know the LP D30 has a smaller crown gear, but this one sounds good.

opinions?

Well, I would imagine that it all depends on what they want for it.

it would bolt right up but the tj version is a low pinion design and the xj is a high pinion.
This would be a step backwards in my opinion.
If the price is right then it would be a decent investment every thing but the ring and pinion and housing would be usefull on your factory housing.
Save a few hunder and have everything but the gears swapped the the xj housing.
