zj gears??

i havent found this anywhere and was wondering if zj gears will swap into an xj, or any other model for that matter... im going to the local bones yard and if i can expand my search options for direct gear swaps on a xj d30 front and d44 rear it would be nice... i currently have a 5 spd with 3.07 and NEED to do somethin about it...

Your better off getting the entire axle,used gears are extremely hard to set-up.

Stay away from ZJ 44s with the aluminum housing. That includes the gears inside the ZJ 44. One 44 that many people overlook is one out of Honda Passports or Izuzu Rodeos. Check the JP Magazine link out below:

Note: this is not a direct swap at all, but it's a good swap if you are looking for a real 44.

x2 what he said about about the 44a, also the zj D30 has cv joints instead of ujoints. I would avoid that as well.

cool thanks guys good to know....and the next question i forgot to ask just outta curiosity.... are all d44 axles that came stock on the cherokee 30 spline?
