my son was trying to haul the trash up to the dumpster, it's 1/2 mile away on our private lane. well the world went alittle upside down for him when he went off the road. the jeep landed upside down in about 2 1/2 ft of water. he had to break the rear window out to get out of the jeep. very scary as a dad. here's a few pic's of the aftermath. i didn't get any of the jeep in the water. the camera was in the jeep. guess i need a new camera too.

wow.
My accident taking the trash 1/2 mile away involved a fire hydrant.(when I was 15):dunce:
How fast was he going on that fun slippery road?
That is really scary. I'm glad he's alright.

he was going fairly slow. he just slipped of the side, and flopped.
the cool part was, after sitting upside down under water. i flipped it back over, started it and drove it home.

What did he land on that creased the roof like that? A culvert?
I'm assuming the only thing he hurt was his pride and your ZJ?

I'm glad your boy is OK. It's scary to think what may have happened if he didn't break out that rear window and had to spend too much time in that water.
Sooo... if you plan on parting that thing out, let us know. I need some trim pieces. :D

Really glad the kid is ok. I think if you took a Jeep wrench (aka 3 lb sledge) to that roof it just might do the job. If it doesnt you pretty much are going to cut it off anyway, right?

Maybe a rail rod tie and a bottle jack would get the ruff up enough, and plexi glass it.
Vary quick thinking, of your son..........aspeial after his world just got turned up side down:thumbup:
