upon serial replacement I finally got around to the WP to solve my overheating, put a new one in, found out they can spin two ways (still overheating) bought one for a serpentine belt, reverse rotation, and pulled the new one off, one is marked with an R the other has nothing, on both of them the fins are identical
BUT
when you spin it with your hand CCwise, the fins on either don't rotate as if they would grab any water, picture a paddle wheel, it's going in the wrong direction to "scoop" the coolant.
I don't have a pic, wifes got the camera, should they look like this? and spin like this?
