Transmission Pan Removal

Ok so before I unbolt my entire pan on my 00 xj, i noticed that there is something connected to it, like a metal pipe that runs into the front end of the pan, which seems like itd prevent it from coming off. Does this unscrew or come out? Theres no bolt or screw from what I can see, and the manuals don't mention it.

It is the transmission fluid fill pipe. Follow it up to the engine bay and you can see what I mean. If I remember correctly there is one bolt holding it on about halfway up the pipe. Look hard enough and you should see the bolt. It does take some work to get the pan out while it is still connected to the pipe. From what I noticed the pipe stays connected to the pan.
