Shackle box & Boomerangs

So am I understanding things correctly that a boomerang shackle will help in preventing contact with the shackle & the box ??
I really don't want to go to a longer shackle, but if it's the only choice...

Is there a mod. to trim the rear of the box... one the doesn't weaken the box ?

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

you sometimes have to trim the lower bumper bolt for some shackles

Well unfortunately I'm not near the bumper yet... we'll see...

All boomerang shackles are going to provide lift correct ?
