Man, that is a good one. Looks too red to be a mulie though, looks like a mulie/blacktail hybrid. Where were you?

Central Utah, no Blacktail here.

He was just getting ready to lose his summer coat.

CRASH

The mulies we see up in the extreme NorCal desert are much greyer, even in summer. The one I got was about half way into his new coat.

So, are Crash, Bowhunter, and myself the only bowhunting folks of the group?

I was hoping this thread would go somewhere..

Yeah, nothing better than the meat spoiling while you are field dressing it.

Fawking California regulations.

The shot I made on that 4point was less then 10ring, took about 3 hours, shot to recovery, and he was already showing signs of the heat(not gut shot, just a little high)

I felt, time was of the essence, to get him to the locker..

already showing signs of the heat

Just buy an old Ice Cream truck, covert it to 4x4, and drag the fawkers in as soon as you shoot 'em.

I'm into hunting the Musket. Not this new fashioned bull crap either (knight). I've shot the same gun since I've been able to hunt (never hunted rifle) and hunted with my dad for years before that. Not as primitive as the bow, but still not a 600yd shot with a 7mm :) Can't wait for it to begin in a little over 2 weeks!

I used to bow hunt, but anymore I have better things to do.

'Round here, as in many places, the season doesn't open until Oct.1st.

October here as well. There's three guys I give permission to hunt my land - all use bow. It's easier to fill my freezer this way - I'm such a lazy ass...

We weren't just talking about deer were we??? Those were some of the smaller ones I've killed, but my girlfriend normally doesn't go with me so I have no one to take the pics. I also killed a turkey last year with my bow...I'll see if I can't dig up the pic around here somewhere...

So, you put the camera on the hood, set the timer, and run back in front of it, all the while, trying not to let the fish fall off of the arrow and wondering if you're centered in the picture?

Actually, he looks like a redneck to me.

What's that supposed to mean?

Yes, I am a bit of a redneck, but I would venture to say that everyone on this site has a bit of that in them.

And no I've never dipped skoal...It looks nasty and I like my teeth to much.
