Temp Gauge Quit

Hello All,

I've been searching around the forums this morning and can't seem to find anything to help me. Here's the problem: About a week ago, my temp gauge started acting up, it'd read dead cold then it'd pop up to normal temp, then back down, float around a little, then, as of the last two days, hasn't had any movement at all. Heat still blows hot, AC is cold.

My Jeep is a '99 XJ, 4.0L, Auto, 116k miles, 3" lift. That's it.

Thanks for the help and info.

Temp Sender.
Disco the wire, clean and plug back in.
If that dont work change the sender.
Might be the gauge its self.

I agree with drifto77. Had a similar problem on my '99 XJ at about the same mileage that you are at. Turned out to just be a loose connection on the temp. sender.
