I can't find the link to the page with the info on how to manually advance (removing one of the tangs) the timing on the 4.0.

All that does is adjust the fuel injector sync. If you want to play with the ignition timing you need to physically move the Crank sensor on its bracket so it picks up the signals from the flexplate earlier.

Slot it and move it towards the passenger side.
