Walker Valley June 8th.

Just trying to figure out if anyone would be up to run Walker on the 7th or 8th.

This will be my last weekend in Bellingham and would like to actually wheel Walker in my own jeep, now that it has been blinged out to the max.:sunshine: Michael I don't know what else is needed before we can start doing work on Expressway, but maybe this could be a time for more pictures or to get the DNR out to see some of the problems and what should be done.

I *might* be able to make this work. Give me a couple of days to verify that I can juggle a couple of things around.

Getting the DNR up there is the next step and I just need to find a convenient time to do that. I would try to coordinate it with her at the same time if we make this trip happen.

Either the 7th or the 8th would work for me, I have finals the next week so I will be "studying" at some point over the weekend.

The Reiter repair run is mainly for BYS and I am not taking my jeep on that trail so I don't have a problem running Walker on the 8th.

Would a rig with a 4.5" lift, 33's, open rear and lsd front make it ok? I've heard it can get pretty nasty there without locked diff's. If so, I can probably make it either day and finally get to meet a few of you.

Should be fine. Rocker protection is the one big recommendation at Walker. The Expressway trail can be a problem but with friends you will get through.

I could, it's currently stock and 2wd. :) Although it's my shop loaner more than anything else lately. It's currently sitting @ Matt's house while he's in Utah and his Subaru is in the shop. (not my shop, warranty work)

My dealership doesn't usually like to give loaners either. I'll have to remember to call you next time I need a loaner and my Jeep is at the dealership. :D

Just to add to the last minute changes, I am considering not bringing my Jeep out and just running shotgun with someone else, Tracey you got room?

Elyse (from the DNR) will not be able to meet us on Expressway till later in the morning so I am thinking it might be best to run Lower Mainline first and then come back down Upper Mainline and Expressway?
If we split into two groups, we could also have one group run up Upper Mainline (I have actually never run that lower portion) and then come back down Expressway.

I also want to run that off shoot of Expressway to see where it comes out. There may actually be two offshots if I was looking at the right part of the map. A great place for a lunch break might be the location of the Ridge Rams Skill Area Project.

I think that "off shoot" is a trail that connects both Lower Mainline and Expressway (about 1/2 between the bottom and top of the trails).
