will the drive shaft out of my 98 with 8.25 with with the xj d44? if so i'm going to do the swap asap

i searched and found one guy who said yes. and another who said no. so i'm stomped. how could i check? rough measuse the center axles to yoke?

Just trust me the answer is yes. I've replaced 4 8.25's with dana 44's, my own rig included.
The 8.25 and d44 are like a quarter inch difference in pinion length.
