No spark(Not CPS)

Completely random, never done this before.

I know the fuel pump is running and delivering fuel correctly.

The starter will crank all day it seems.

There's no spark from the ignition coil to the distributor.

Replaced the CPS per all the advice I could find online with no avail.

My next step is to replace the ignition coil I suppose.

Is there a way to check and see if the coil is bad before I remove/replace it? If so, how?

Any other ideas?

This is a 92 XJ 4.0, AW4

Disconnect the computer, the battery and the cps. Hook it back up and it should work. The computer has some kind of safety in it that shuts it down when the cps shorts out. It happened to mine. That's how I ended up with two computers that work..:D It could be the coil or ECU but it's not as common.

Thank you for this thread! I replaced my CPS, replaced the coil. did the TPS
still nothing. i am going out tomorrow and checking THAT relay/fuse you did. and also disco' the ECM and givin it a try!
