It's threatening in the direction of my friend's dad's house. He's got a ton of gasoline and diesel up there so it would not be a pretty sight if it hits him, not to mention 3 horses.

ouch, that would be pretty bad, it's getting pretty out of control, it's expected to burn at leask 10k acres by the time it's under control, with something around 70 houses expected to be burned up.
I've been watching the smoke all day from where I work (up the coast)
several people I know have already been evacuated.
it's gonna be interesting

nothing gets the neighborhood together like when there is a fire close by! i live right by a HARD park and it goes up in flames every other year or so, its cool to watch, but if i felt my home was threatend i wouldnt enjoy the experience at all.

It smells like fire at my house in West San Jose near Campbell and the sky was filled with smoke and fog this morning.

yea there's a ton of smoke here in santa cruz, my manager was watching the fire out his window last night, luckily all the winds shifted last night so it was just trying to burn back on itself.
