another aussie question

got an aussie for my xj last week and have been doing alot of research on them and think that i can do everything but still uncertain and havent found anything on how to measure the tolerences yet? any info on this procedure would be greatly appreciated

pm xtimmax he did his recently and had good results Ive done about every other brand of lunch box locker and they all gave me a way of measuring the required tolerances in the plastic bag holding the springs and such. It has usually been a metal piece that looked out of place but in the they directions explained how to use it and in one case it was as simple as the thickness of the box lid if it fit it was to loose.

Harbor Freight sells digital calipers for around $15.

Yep, a digitial caliper or shim gauge(the metal shims with different thicknesses) is the way to measure. They dont come with the little metal bar piece to measure.

.145-.170 for the coupler/cam gear spacing, and .006 to .020 for the spacer and cross shaft clearence. Its all in the instructions here. http://www.offroadlockers.com/display/Manual_d.pdf
