trys to stall in reverse

i have started to notice this past week that when i leave work in my xj it trys to quit on me. it only sputters real quick and then its fine, but when it does it the engine all but dies. anyone have a sugestion:repair: ? i have searched and im hoping its not my flexplate or the computer because im trying to save up for some accessories

Check the ground strap from the head to the firewall. Might be flexing enough in reverse to be intermittent. Check the bellhousing bolts are tight as well.
