np242 chain replacement

Anyone have any tips? Im having trouble finding much info on the np242. Im assuming i can pull the rear housing in one piece, slide it off, and just pull the chain off? Any unusual tools i may need?

That thread really has no info at all.

You gotta start with the tail shaft houseing, pull the seal out, undo the snap rings and work your way down... Its like a cake, gotta do it in layers, and the back half of the case is NOT one whole layer... lemme know if you have questions.

One question since I'm going to check the chain out for myself - is it a good idea to reuse the tail seal? The one you pull out to take the case apart.
