Without the services of Medflight, many people would needlessly perish before reaching emergency medical care. For those who have been assisted by or know one who has been assisted by one of these crews, you know what an asset this service is.

Sadly, UW Medflight lost a crew of 3 good people last night.

True, but that does not mean I don't appreciate what they did for the community.

When I read the story, it seems there was a long time between when they left LaCrosse and when someone discovered the helicopter. Didn't someone notice they hadn't made it back?

No roads in the area, very rough.

The full details probably won't be known for some time.

Meanwhile, the UW has grounded the other Medflight Helicopter for safety reasons.
