89XJ vs. 98XJ

I have an 89 and have pulled additional wires through the fire wall for switches, inverter, etc.
I just picked up a 1998XJ and wanted to add a couple of things.

Where is the best place to pull them through on a 98 without making extra holes?

I dont get the title at all. Just pull them through the rubber boot thing where all the other wires already go through

I pulled my wires through the hole on the left side of the a/c lines.

If you looked behind the dash of an 89XJ you see several places to pull wires through. There is alot more going on back there than the 98 that I bought.
On my 98 it is very uncluttered and the "rubber boot thing" (thanks for the technical jargon vocabulary lesson) is in there pretty tight.

Since the 98 is new to me (3-4 days), I thought I'd ask for ideas before I started making holes in the rubber boot thing.
