We may have gone overboard but it was a blast!

After the first run I noticed that the passenger rear was sagging a bit... after the next run the shock mount was busted! ugh should be an easy fix though.

I got out the tool box and dropped it out so it wouldn't get damaged. The shock isn't actually damaged, just the mount.

Anyway, long story short... we wheeled... At one point I crossed an 8ft deep trench with a short 70%ish grade... almost tipped forward...
We ended up having to winch out the other side (video should be up tomorrow).. we wheeled.
When we were heading back for the night we couldn't find a place to cross the trench easier than before, so we headed up stream to find a flatter spot... we didn't find one BUT we found a highway with a bridge HAHAHAH
So we jumped on the highway and took the bridge back over... very funny when you think about it.

It was a blast but I definitely have work to do.

My post thoughts:
I need to put the 6.5" lift on. Just waiting for a good day now
I need a power winch because hand winching blows
In Low gear and under high torque the front diff was popping pretty bad, so I think that needs to be addressed (Locking the rear could help relieve that stress on the front perhaps?)
The tires I have must be bullet proof. I love my tires

to quote the great chris farley in tommy boy:

"I swear, I've seen a lot of stuff in my life, but that ... was ... AWESOME!!!
... but, sorry about your car, man. That sucks."

It's pics like these that concern the wife of a newbie!

hehehe

Yes my wife was staring out the window of the house with a pissed look on her face.
No biggy, she's still giving me the awkward silence a bit

I think I am going to go ahead and chop the front up. Remove the fenders and go with a shorty bumper... no grill, just mount the lights toward the center or something.?.?.?
Just a thought

JC!?!?! HELL NO!
I hate Kansas for the love of God... hehehejk

I'm from Belton down in Cass County... we're a bunch of redneck soldiers hahaha I'm not really (I'm an accountant) but I have spent so little building this so far that I am not afraid to push the limits... heck I'm willing to bet that my stock axles are seeing more punishment than the rich boy queers driving their YJs down the 119th street strip! on D44s!!!! hahhaha

As for tuttle... I would but I have no tow rig yet and this thing does not drive well over 45 mph. I take it to work every so often at 35mph and tht's a bit of death wobble ! hahaha

I need the RE1660 to match the HD bracket I bpought. The track bar I built is holding up fine but the angle put too much stress on the bushing so the bushing is falling apart... thus death wobble.

Once I get an RE1660 I'll be on the Hwy again
