I have been looking all over to see what you guys are about and such (might be interested in joining the so-cal group). I dont spend a lot of time on computers :) and thus my eyes are sore from trying to find stuff about you all.. aside from checking out your cool jeeps.
Any help would be appreciated. I am in the High Desert area are there some people in this area? (Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley?).
Thanks

Welcome to SoCal NAXJA... I saw you poking around earlier and didn't realize that you were new.
We definitely have guys up there in the High Desert. I can imagine there are enough up there for a Meet & Greet *Hint Hint*.
Feel free to ask away. Just remember to post in the proper section. i.e.O OEM Section for anything that's original and Modified section for anything that's not OEM. And, anything that's SoCal related.... *Drum Roll* the SoCal section.
As far as the type of people we are.... This is the COOLEST Group/Club that I ever wheeled with.
What kind of help are you looking for??

Where are you at XJ4Christ? If you're anywhere near Pioneertown, come check out our church. It's the Church in Pioneertown. :) It's on Mane St (no that's not misspelled) just past Pappy and Harriet's. I remember to turn right at the horse by the yellow reflective post. How's that for hickish?

Wow thx for all the response! I dont know where to start first in reply to you all :).
My story is this I have lived in CA since 2003 and thus some places i am not familiar with but i do have a GPS hehe. I have been dirtbike and quad riding and always have had trucks. For that matter i have owned a 1995 and a 2000 Jeep Cherokee (Stock) prior to moving to CA... and the 2000 was kept by my ex. I liked the Jeep, but i didnt realize all that could be done with them. I have just got a new one and I think going 4x4 looks fun and much easier in a Jeep than my Ford F-250 :). I also like the idea of getting together with others and having fun. I therefore am curious what you all do and how i can become part of it thus answering the following question "What kind of help are you looking for??" I am sure i will have questions in the future as i am still trying to figure out all this 4x4 stuff :).
I have a 1990 Cherokee 4x4 with 4.0 6 cyl engine. It has a 3 inch lift with BFG tires on it and K&N air filter. Aside from this it is pretty much stock. I need to get an alignment done and maybe balance the tires as tires are canted sp? outward and maybe some steering gear box work.. i have some occasional death wobble. I need to get a spare tire and rim, some bigger shocks front and rear, and maybe one for the steering. I need to go over the fluids in the vehicle as it has sat for awhile and misc maint stuff... but it is registered and i passed smog already. I would like to hook up a cb system, a hi-lift jack, tow strap, a custom front bumper (at least i think i should get that first before a rear bumper and tire carrier or top rack so i can have a good tow hookup..). I will try to post a picture on here of how it looked when i got it home the other day.
