9" pinion seal

I tried searching but couldn't find what I was looking for. When I replace the pinion seal on my ford 9", do I need to mess with the crush sleeve? or can I just mark the nut on the pinion and tighten it back to my mark?

You mess with the crush sleeve.. While your there since the 9" is sooo easy to set up just change the crush sleeve out with a spacer and shim set like strange sells..

You will definetly need a new crush sleeve and I would certiantlly recomend going to the solid spacer. I carry these in stock, 2 piece style and I am right in NC, I can drop it in the mail for you if you need or you can stop by the shop. www.eastcoastgearsupply.com
