What programs do you use to ghost a hard drive, I'm looking to make a bootable dvd that is drop and go to restore a pc i've just loaded. Can't seemed to find a user friendly program that doesn't require a floppy, just wandering what you have used.
Thanks

I use Spotmau Powersuite 2008 pro. I'm not in IT but is has been friendly to me.

Acronis True Image is highly regarded on the Thinkpad forum I frequent - You can even try it for free.

Either true image or Ghost, I use a usb key on the newer machines that support USB boot. But mostly what I do is when I first install the machine I create a 10gb partition, don't format it, then do my install and get everything working and updates done, I leave the AV stuff off though, then ghost boot and do a disc to file and put the file on the unformatted partition. On machines I built here I ghost the thing to server as a file, then when I need to go to a customers site I copy that file over to a external 120GB external laptop drive.
I just fought for 4 days building a new server with snapon/mitchell shopkey and service manager running on server2003, you can bet your ass I ghosted that puppy and will be ghosting it every week from now on. I keep one drive in there, powered down and disconnected, then on ghost day I crack the case, plug it in, boot it from a 512mb usb memory stick, start ghost up and do a disc to disc, then unplug it and close it back up.
Another option, bartPE, you can build it with ghost or true image and go that route.
Some enterprising individuals here might already have that, I don't, and could make an image file available.
Try this one on for size :D
