electrical aggervation

I have a 1998 classic and Im having a ton of electrical probs, My insterment panel goes on and off as ot pleases, and my reverse lights have never works. 2 problems at opposite ends of the car. Any ideas on what it could be?

as for the reverse lights with an auto transmission, could be the NSS is not adjusted correctly or needs to be cleaned and lubed.

if its a manual transmission it is a bad backup switch on the transmission.

And the gauge cluster is likely a bad ground.
