Thinking about getting one and wondering if anybody has one and would care to comment. I've been looking for a cover to get my tire out of the sun, but this seems like one of those "why didn't I think of it" ideas.

Good idea, but easy for someone to walk off with if it's mounted outside. Would be a great storage place if your spare is inside, though.

OK, I bought one. It was expensive, but it fits very nicely and you can put a ton of stuff inside it. I cleared out all of my recovery equipment and put it inside.

neat idea but it doesn't work well if your spare carrier incorporates a hub/spindle assembly. ;)
