Pulling a 4.0L from a 92 XJ.
Anyone know what size are the two top tranny bolts.
They seem to be 6 point 3/8 or so. Maybe metric.
The bolt head looks like a torque bit.
(Last two bolts before I can get-er-done.)
Thanks

If you are talking about the 2 evil star bolts on the top of the tranny, then if i remeber correctly they are inverse torx E12. YOu can pick it up at autozone/kragen for a few dollars.

Inverse Torx, E12 is correct. The bolts themselves are threaded 3/8"-16, and can be replaced with a standard hex head capscrew - or you can put a stud in (which I did - I think I used a 3/8"x2" stud for mine. Makes it easier to locate the transmission on the last little way up...)
The two bolts down sides are 7/16"-14, as I recall. A bit odd to find, but can be done. I ended up drilling mine out to take a 1/2"-20 HeliCoil and putting 1/2"-20 studs in...
