Cant get my hood open

My latch is broken and my stupid friend closed the damn hood.


If I cant get it open Im gonna hack the crap out of it.

It's not fun but I used a wire coat hanger to get the latch pulled on mine. After the second time breaking I removed the mechanism and put in hood pins. No more problems with broken release/latch.

Yeah I was dreading the ol' coat hanger trick but whatever works I guess...
Ill give it a try... if I have no luck ill be in the market for a new hood soon. =)

A search would have yielded the answer. First you pull the headlights and buckets. You can then reach inside and free one of the bolts holding the latch on each side. Then using a long extension from the bottom, you can get the second bolt on each side. Total time 10 minutes.
