Is this normal?

I was working on the Jeep today and I noticed something funny about my front axle. It appears that the shaft is sticking out further on the passenger side then on the drivers side. It's hard to tell by the angle of the pics but it is definitely sticking out further. Is that ok?

All that is ,is a dust/mud shield to keep out the big chunks. It,s just plastic and can move where it wants.
Not a problem to worry about.

Looks like your inner axle seals are leaking.

I saw the wetness too....

Time to change those seals...

If you need to find a cheap(er) solution to replacing the axles, should the seal wear surface be worn, NAPA sell a Speedy-sleeve which slides over the worn area providing the new seal a fresh place to ride.....
