I just bought one of these things and I have a few questions.
1. How can I hook it to a tank and can I use a regulator on it.
2. Can I hard mount it and wire it up permantly (making it not portable) if so what do I need to do this.

Basicly I want full time on board air with a tank. What do I need to get (other then the obvious tank)

You will need...

1. A hobb switch (this turns it on and off based on pressure in tank)
2. A tank with multiple ports is nice (one in, one out, one for the hobb, etc.)
3. I would wire it with 10 gauge wire
4. Also a heavy duty switch so you can shut it down 100% if you want, or a relay so it will only run in the accessory and on positions.
5. You should also put a fuse in the line...probably a 20-30 amp maxi.
6. Think carefully about where you mount it...vibrations, noises, heat, or water, mud, rocks. You get the idea.
7. Connections should be fairly simple with a permanent hose to connect the compressor to the tank.
8. And don't forget about a hose to connect to the tank for when you want to use your air. I would use a regular air fitting...same as you have at home if you have a compressor in your garage.
