Good luck. I know there is one planned in Columbia but this state has a large number of auto recyclers that like to keep the prices high.

I pass one each time I go to the beach, its around Bennettsville, on 38(I think!). Thats a bit of drive from the beach though.

It's been a while since I lived there, but I don't recall any yards that would let you pull your own stuff any more. There used to be a yard a long time ago that would, but I think they may have closed. You can go and look for it if you want. It was located on Old Socastee Hwy (now called Robert M. Grissom Pkwy). It was just south of Pine Island Road on the left. That area used to be nothing but open land, but it's probably all subdivisions and shopping malls now.
