I just won an auction for a military trailer(M200A1). Its in Drexel Gardens outside of Indianapolis and I am in Aztec NM. This thing is too large(high) for a Cherokee to tow but a full size pickup could probably do it. Its about 2400lbs 15 feet long and has a lunette ring for a pintle hook hitch. the electric is 24 volt so a set of magnetic lights would be needed and the brakes are air over hydraulic so the tow vehicle would need to provide all the braking.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I would say to make a pintle hook that slides in a receiver and borrow a truck. A 3/4 ton or better would be nice...motor size isn't an issue, but good brakes will be a lot less nerve racking. I made a pintle hook for my XJ...hook was about $60 or so and about $10 in scrap metal and a little welding to make a receiver mount for it.
