my drivers door is messed....it wont open....the rod is bent inside or something this happened in moab....i was wheelin at bfe and broke an axle fixed it in hotel parking lot and all the sudden my door was broke when we woke up to go wheelin again.....i swear ever since i broke that axle everything is going wrong rofl plz help though if you guys know any tricks to getting the door open so i can get the panel off and fix it...

you may not want to do this but when mine did that i had someone hold the button on the out side and i got in and kicked it open, not real hard but enough that it opened, just a thought

Is it the door that is not opening or the lock that is not working? My lock doesn't engage all the time and I have to crawl in through the passenger side and flip the lock switch several times to get it to work.

I've had that problem with the lock not disengaging. When this happens the button on the door handle is a bet less stiff and the door will not open. I have to flip the lock switch inside several times with a bit more force to get it to unlock.
Several times a year I have to pop off one of the plastic plugs on the door and lube the lock good. Then it works again.

lol i did that jmaxj...ended up cracking my door pretty bad but it will be fine :roll: but it turns out that the a piece of the latch that is suposed to be under something somehow got on top of it and made it so the door wouldnt open. but i just put a new latch on and fixed the old one so i have a spare lol thanks for alll the advice really appreciate it!!

Yea, a mechanic wasn't too happy with me once when he had to climb through the passenger side. My response -- "hello? it's a jeep"

lol yeah on my old jeep the guy doing my emissions and inspections had to climb through the passenger side....he wasnt so thrilled LOL
