heel-toe tie wear?

My mt's did this too. only did it on the front. i changed the tire pressures a few times but, no luck. i just kept them rotated.

It sounds like you are describing "cupping" typical caused by worn out shocks.

Well, I broke my rear shock mount and am in the process of making a permanent fix, so the shock sounds like a reasonable assumption.
At first I thought it might be related to a locker/axle shaft problem I think I'm having, but I checked the axle shafts today and they're fine, and pending a test under load, the locker seems to be fine too.

Cupping can be caused by an unbalanced tire condition, faulty wheel bearings, loose parts, fatigued springs or weak shocks.

How long has your temporary fix been a temoprary fix?

Same thing happened to me when my caster was off a couple of degrees. Get an alignment if you haven't recently. If all is good, then start playing with shocks and what not...
