Driveshaft interchangability

Does anybody know if a front driveshaft out of an Xj with a 2.8 and an auto will fit in an XJ with a 4.0 and an auto or is it to short? Also does anybody know what spline the input on the t-case would be out of an 86' XJ w/ 2.8 and auto.

I don't know the answer, but do you have access to an 86 2.8 for parts?

I am getting ready to pick up an 86' that had a 2.8 in it but the guy yanked the motor so if you are needing engine parts I won't be much help but anything else out of it I will sell pretty reasonably.

I need an enine part. The air diverter valve burned up on mine. Oh well, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. If the radiator is still there and in good shape i might be interested. I had to weld up some holes last summer.
