this is not a xj question but a tj question i need to replace the pass front wheel bearing just need to know if they are pressed in or does the hub assembly bolt in i would like to do this myself if possible i know the front axles tj/xj are similar hopefully someone can steer me strait also it is a 97. thanks mark

It is bolted on but needs to be pulled out of the knuckle, there is a portion of the hub that goes into the circular opening of the knuckle, it's only about 1/4". I didn't have any problem with the bolts, my problem was one of the knuckle and hub becoming one. I used a cold chisel to separate the two and it made the stone shield look a little worse for the wear but didn't affect the hub.

GOod luck :)
