ok guys got a new one for ya..
jacked up the xj today all 4 tires off the ground to find my vibration, took the front two tires off, put her in 2wd no problems. When i put her into 4x4 she jerked and engaged. After about 2 minutes of spinning the whole driveline was shaking roughly. From the engine to the tranny down the front and back drive shaft, they had kinda a bounce to them.
Alot of noise coming from the front driveshaft, so i supsect something is wrong w/ the front.
I went to pull it off, and can't get it off. the axle side i can take out, but the tc side i can't get a socket in there, and an open end spins, as well as my closed craftsman ratcheting wrench.
any suggestions how to get this side off, as well as what could be making my whole driveline bounce.
i'll have a better feel once i take of the shaft. but can't get er off
