Caster different on both sides?

For some reason, I am getting a conflict of info on my angle finder for caster on my front HP30. If it were twisted bad enough to be different on both sides, I would think it would wander or pull. Anyone have a logical explanantion as I am no alignment expert.

All these allignment guys keep telling me that there should be a 1* difference in caster from side to side. Something about compensating for road imperfections... lol Yeah....

It does depend on the axle. My last axle was spot on, and the axle I replaced it with was off a fraction. Not 1*, but it was within the 1*.

The difference is to compensate for the crown in the road.

And what if there is no crown in the road? Will he careen off a cliff and explode before hitting the rocks below as well.

I don't think axles come with caster differences in the knuckles to make up for the crown of the road.

If your d30 have adjustable ball joints they could be "out" a little but its more likely it had a hard impact some where in its life to tweak it a little. Also your tubes might have spun a tiny bit.
